The use of technology among colleagues is essential to enhance the professional development of teachers. Networking with colleagues and sharing lessons-learned regarding tools and ways to improve teaching can only benefit the students. The more you work with other teachers of different subject areas, the more you’ll be able to learn different ways to help your students.
Ideas shared can be enhanced and applied in different settings to improve teaching in our classrooms. Local colleagues can be a resource for sharing teaching ideas, for example the library, art, music and physical education teachers are excellent resources. Perhaps conducting formal teachers’ meetings to discuss ideas, research, or experiences can be a way to help each other elevate our teaching performances.
